Visalia Safes was founded in 1974 in the small agricultural town of Exeter, California — where values like integrity, precision and hard work still shape the way things are built.
What began as a passion project in a family garage quickly evolved into a specialized craft. Over the decades, our reputation grew by word of mouth — from local hunters and business owners to collectors, jewelers and security experts across the Americas and around the world. What they all shared was a desire for something different: safes that offered them the security and storage they needed and the style they wanted, not somebody’s mass-produced idea of what a gun safe should be. They wanted something built with care, by hand, and made to order: a truly custom safe.
