When we say custom, we mean it. At Visalia Safes, every safe and vault door is built to order and designed to reflect your specific needs — functionally, visually and structurally. Whether you’re protecting firearms, jewelry or sensitive documents, we will craft a safe or vault door that does what you want, how you want it. Our customization goes far beyond the color of your vault door or the number of drawers in your safe. Every element is made for you: from size, to interior fittings, from exterior decorations and hardware, to lock mechanisms and more. Visalia Safes has decades of expertise in building safes and vault doors. For safes, we offer three base levels. Our Standard safe is a light duty model, recommended for small home safes or wall safes. Our Superior safe is a medium-duty safe, suitable for stand-alone safes where weight is an issue. Our Ultimate safe is a heavy-duty model, with superior security and fire protection. And our Vault Doors are constructed to precisely fit the dimensions and load capacities of the openings they are destined for.

We guarantee to make your Visalia Safe suit your tastes, inside and out. From handcrafted cabinetry and joinery in traditional or to more exotic woods, to watch winders and purse hooks to custom shelving, jewelry trays, mini safes (“safes within a safe”) and hidden compartments — we offer the interior fittings that match exactly what you store and how you store it. Every layout is engineered around your collection and finished to perfection.
Finishes to suit your tastes
Choose what you want your safe or vault door to look like — from custom decorations and finishes, paints textures from matte to high-gloss to or our exclusive “rustic” acid-wash finishes. We use premium American-made paints and offer custom colors, pinstriping, murals, logos or even sculptural elements to make your safe a true showpiece — or completely discreet.
Locks & Lock Mechanisms
Security is personal, too. Choose between mechanical dial locks, digital keypads, biometric entry, or even systems with audit-trails. All of our locks come from Sargent & Greenleaf, one of America’s premier security companies. They are all UL-rated and seamlessly integrate into your door and interior design.
Doors & Hinges
All of our products feature extremely well-engineered and crafted hinges. For safes, we offer safes with either a single or double doors. Depending on the hinge type chosen, our doors can be quarter-inch thick (Standard or Safari hinge) or increase to either half-inch or one-inch thick (Standard hinge). Vault doors can be made in a variety of thicknesses as well.

Protecting your valuables means more than keeping them safe from thieves. Fire protection is another important consideration. All of our vault doors and safes come equipped with fire protection measures that work
Exterior finishes to suit your tastes
If you like the look of natural wood, we’ve got you covered with handcrafted cabinetry and joinery in traditional woods like walnut, cedar or oak. We’re also happy to source more exotic woods if your tastes and budget run that way. If you prefer leather or fabric interiors, we offer a wide variety of possibilities and can work with you to find things we don’t have, according to your wishes. If you prefer steel, we can powder-coat or paint to any finish you choose.
Vault Door Options & Finishes
As every vault door we build is custom-designed and handcrafted, every element of the construction — size, shape, gauge of steel, type of fire protection, etc. — is down to your choice and your budget. For example, we typically build doors in thicknesses from a quarter-inch to one-inch steel. If you need more, or less, we’re happy to walk you through that design process. We’ll also help you add visibility, concealment or stylistic accents.
